This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puppies vs. Babies for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.Who do you think is is cuter? Puppies or babies? I don't have babies in the house anymore, but often look through the scrap book to reminisce over baby pictures. My son Sid had the most adorable smile. That kid was always grinning and it was captured in every picture. These days our baby is beautiful Chinese Crested Powderpuff puppy, Lilly. She has captured everyone's heart with her tiny, sweet little face.I think all babies are beautiful. But some people might argue with me about this and say that babies look like wierd, little old men. What's your opinion on this? Is there a … [Read more...]
Serenity in the Mountains

On our trip to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, mom and I had the pleasure of staying at Serenity in the Mountains, Lodge and Day Spa. We stayed in a luxurious two bedroom, two bathroom suite that was literally almost as big as our house. Our suite featured a beautiful gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, king size bed, Jacuzzi tub, over-sized tiled walk in showers and much more. I fell in love with the rustic decor instantly. The wood paneled walls and ceiling gave the feeling of a log cabin. After a busy day of shopping and taking in all the wonderful sites of Blue Ridge, Serenity in the Mountains was the perfect place to rest and feel pampered. I didn’t think mom … [Read more...]

Tails of a Dog Mom

Lately it seems that being a dog mom is as much work as taking care of children. Maybe it is because the dogs in our family are a bit “challenged”. WinstonI adopted my Bichon Winston almost 4 years ago, when he was a year old. Winston came from an abusive home where he spent little time outside of his kennel. He had absolutely no social skills and was a nervous wreck. On the first day he barked non-stop, it wasn’t until bed time that things changed for him. When I picked him up and put him on my bed to sleep there was first confusion, but then a calming came over him. Winston had obviously never slept in a bed before now. He snuggled up next to my pillows and slept through the … [Read more...]

Colman’s Mustard Review

In 1814 Jeremiah Coleman took over a mustard manufacturing business and mustard in England was never to be the same again. With it's zesty blend of brown and white mustard seeds, Coleman's has delivered the finest quality, gourmet spicy mustard for almost 200 years. Mustard is a favorite condiment of ours. When a package arrived and I saw the Colman’s Mustard, I was pretty excited. Colman's Original Prepared Mustard is cholesterol, fat and gluten free and is available in a 3.53 oz jar. This spicy prepared mustard made my typical turkey sandwich a bit moreinteresting. I decided to do a bit of cooking with my Colman’s mustard. I coated some boneless, skinless chicken breasts with … [Read more...]
Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods Review

I really enjoy cooking and easily tire of using the same standard ingredients in my recipes. Needless to say, I am a real fan of specialty food companies. V: Season 2 – What Would You Do?

In Season Two of the television series V, Hobbes constantly calls Ryan out as a traitor even though his treachery has far worse consequences. Not only has Hobbes killed humans, he slept with Erica and then indirectly cause the death of Erica’s ex-husband Joe.Have you ever been in a situation where someone regardless of their own actions kept pointing out what you were doing wrong? How did you bring this to light or work around it to move forward?I certainly have! I was in a long-term relationship with someone a bit like Hobbes. My ex was always giving me grief for silly things like showing up 5 minutes late or going to the movies with a girlfriend. I overlooked so many bad thingsthat he … [Read more...]
