watermelon yogurt popsicles

Store bought pops are perfectly fine, but these homemade watermelon yogurt popsicles are easy enough to make and delicious. Not to mention the fact that they are pretty darn good for you. I used only 3 ingredients to whip these up and am quite pleased with the results. I’m a huge fan of thick, creamy Greek yogurt which is loaded with protein, so it’s fantastic when I can work some into a recipe. Especially something like this cool summertime treat. I hope you enjoy these as much as us!

Watermelon Frozen Yogurt Popsicles
Recipe yields about 6 popsicles.

Ingredients
12 ounces plain non-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt
2 cups watermelon
Honey, Splenda or other sweetener to taste

Method
Puree watermelon in a blender or food processor. Stain with a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, removing all seeds and pulp. Add yogurt and blend well with a whisk. Add sweetener to desired taste, stirring to blend. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for 4 hours or until frozen.

Note: If you don’t have popsicle molds, small paper cups or ice cube trays with popsicle sticks will work fine. If you need fewer or more than 6 popsicles, just increase or decrease the ingredients accordingly. This recipe is pretty flexible. I hope you enjoy!

  6. Those sound heavenly! I LOVE Watermelon, but don’t always like Watermelon-flavored things since it is usually so much stronger and different than real watermelon – so I bet I would love these, since it would really be watermelon!

  7. Oh my! These look delish – and even more important EASY! Thanks for sharing and we’re definitely going to making them soon!
