I’ll probably get my cats some potent cat nip for a treat -but for dog week I’ll spend the rest on treats and some toys and take them to our local Humane Association, I worked there for years until I had to leave due to an illness but I’m still always in contact with the girls and sadly there are alot of ‘un-adoptable’ dogs right now. They just need a home that is willing to wor with their individual issues-but people want easy or puppies…it’s a no kill shelter so those dogs may live there for years, I love every chance I get to get them something special-they get so happy, i used to spoil them terribly when I was there and its so rewarding to see them get playful and excited over such a simple gesture. Please don’t think you have to make a big donation to a shelter: one toy, or a bag of treats is very appreciated and you can just leave it at the door-easy! Think about it-you can make a dog or cat ‘smile’ !
