Polly Pocket has become such a fun toy for my 4 year old granddaughter Tati. I like that the play sets are very portable and easy to take on the road when visiting grandma. We received the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Play Set and Polly Pocket DVD to review and have been having so much fun.

We popped in the DVD while I worked on getting the play set out of the packaging and everything set up. The DVD was a great distraction. It was a short 22 minute episode, but it really brought the Polly Pocket characters to life. It seemed like it moved a little fast, but the episode was about racing after all. Still, it was very fun to watch.
The Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Play Set has a lot of fun stuff and some hidden surprises. Included in the set is a Polly doll, 8 animals, pet food, food dish, leashes, a cash register, pet carrier that opens up and much more. Different sections of the play set have fun activities. Upstairs there is a grooming station where you can give your pets a bath. It comes equipped with a tub, towel and shampoo. There is a neat attachment where you can slide in Polly’s feet, so she can stand and give her pets a bath.
Downstairs the pet shop comes equipped with a cash register and fun treat dispenser. When you pull the lever of the treat dispenser, a treat drops out. It’s really fun, only the treats are very small and will be difficult to keep track of.
There is a fun slide for the pets to slide down to the bottom floor. There is even a trap door that can be opened by a lever, allowing the pets to fall through and be caught in a basket below. The carousel with 3 baskets is on of our favorite parts of this set. It spins around to display the pets in the shop. Up top there is a double swing for Polly and her pets to play on.
As you can see, the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Play Set has a lot going on and is tons of fun. My only complaint would be that some of the pieces are very small, making this toy unsuitable if there are babies in the house. Unlike the Polly Pocket Hangout House Playset that we recently reviewed, which had small suction cups on the bottom of each piece, the smaller pieces in this set might easily be lost. Other than that, this is a great toy!
