My family has seen all but the latest of the Spider-Man movies. They are definitely a family favorite! We missed The Amazing Spider-Man while it was in theaters, and are super eager to watch it. I really liked Toby Maguire as Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane in earlier films, so I am curious to see how the new actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone portray the leading roles. The Amazing Spider-Man will be available in stores on November 9th, but I went to my local Walmart earlier this week to pre-purchase The Amazing Spider-Man Limited Edition Mask Gift Set.
For just $24.96 the Limited Edition Mask Gift Set includes: Blu-ray, DVD, Ultra Violet, plus a bonus DVD and Limited Edition Mask DVD Case. Along with my pre-purchase of the Limited Edition Mask Gift Set, I bought some supplies for the Spider-Man Halloween party we will be having in a few weeks. I found all sorts of creepy spider decorations, and a jello brain mold that I just couldn’t pass up. It’s going to be one spooky Spider-Man party!
Pre-Purchasing The Amazing Spider-Man gives you early access to the movie. The pre-purchase box in the store doesn’t include the actual disc, but instead provides an access code for you to register online to receive an early digital copy of the movie on Vudu.com on October 30th, and have a hard DVD copy mailed out to you a couple days before release date of November 9th. We’ll have the digital copy just in time for our Halloween party!
The Amazing Spider-Man pre-purchase boxes are easy to find at Walmart. In my store they were on an end cap display, along with all of the other new releases. I noticed a couple of other new releases that I might have to purchase later, but The Amazing Spider-Man is a must have for our party.

How to pre-purchase The Amazing Spider-Man Mask Gift Set.
Once I got home, I opened the DVD case and found a cardboard disc with a redemption code and instructions on how to redeem my purchase in 3 easy steps.

Per the instructions, I went to VUDU.com/theamazingspiderman and entered my redemption code.
After entering my redemption code, I was prompted to either sign in or create a new VUDU account. We’ve never used VUDU before, so I went ahead and created an account. I simply had to provide my email address, a password and address for registration. The option to add a credit card for future VUDU purchases was also available, but I skipped that to add later.
It literally only took a couple of minutes to create my account and redeem my purchase. Easy peasy!
I was curious to learn a little more about VUDU. With VUDU you can stream movies directly to your Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Blu-ray Player, HDTV, iPad or Computer. Movies are available on VUDU the same day they are available to purchase , if not sooner. What I really like about VUDU is that there is no contract or monthly subscription required. You simply rent movies for as little as $2 for 2 nights. I’m so excited to learn about this service and we will definitely be streaming movies through our Xbox 360 for family movie nights.
