So many of us have added losing weight and getting fit to our list of New Year’s resolutions. But after January, it can be difficult to stay on track. Mobile apps are the modern way to shed weight and keep fit. More and more people, myself included, are downlaoding diet and fitness apps to their cell phones and tablets as a way to stay accountable and stick to weight loss and fitness programs. I’m sure hoping that a couple of these will help me be more accountable and stay on track throughout the year!

MyFitnessPal
The calorie counter app MyFitnessPal boasts the largest food database (over 2 million foods) of any iPhone calorie counter. It allows you to tap in your weight loss goal, and then keep track of the calories that you eat and drink, as well as those you lose through exercise.

Diet and Fitness Apps

Lose It!

Diet and Fitness Apps

Whole Foods Market Recipes App
I love shopping at stores like Whole Foods Market! Did you know they have a Recipes App? If you like cooking with natural and organic foods, check out this app that features Whole Foods Market Recipes for delicious recipes that include everything from dinner entrees to breakfast and beverages.

Tap & Track
Tap & Track is a calorie counter that let’s you build your own recipes, tracking the exact food that you eat. They offer a very large database of foods, brands, and restaurants. The visual tracking that uses graphs, pie charts, and more is good for people who work best visually.

I’m hoping some of these diet and fitness apps will help me stay on track long after January! How do you plan to keep on track with New Year’s resolution goals?

  7. I currently use a few of these apps. I might give the tap and track one a try cause I do cook pretty much all my meals and my fitness pal is a little difficult to add in recipes.
