    i need to lose at least 15-20 pounds to get back to my normal weight. they weren’t lying when they said its harder to lose weight as you get older! i plan to start walking again which i haven’t been able to do in 2 1/2 months because of upper respiratory illnesses. and i plan to stop drinking soda and start drinking more water.

  24. Due to having Spinal Stenosis my weight loss has been slow this past year, but I’m proud to announce I’ve lost 51lbs in 2012. I want to lose 75 more for 2013 & I would be happy with another 50lbs. Being as I lost this weight I’m able to move around better & doc says if I lose the weight the pain won’t be so bad. I love to dance & this would be perfect.

  134. I find myself out of shape and over weight – like so many others. My lack of motivation has hindered me from wanting to regain my spark and confidence to take on the world. I need to stop hiding behind excuses and remind myself of the mottos of “I am worth the effort” and “NO MORE EXCUSES”. While watching the Zumba inspiring commercial a short time ago, I decided that if I had the chance to win this tool, that I would certainly have no excuses and by the end of the year, would be much healthier and in a much better shape than now as well has have a much more positive attitude. There was one young lady that caught my attention on a newer commercial for Zumba – she said that she was able to “move” without anyone watching and sit, if she got tired and that only she was able to take that next step forward to keep going – she looks great now!     I am doing my best to lose what weight I already am grossly over and saw a Dumbs infomercial on Tv a while back and Jam so totally interested in this. I just DO NOT want to join a group to do this just by myself. I’m just the type of person who doesn’t like to “jiggle ” my body in public.

    I started my New Year’s Resolution a little early this year. I’m already down 30lbs, with only 10 more to go. BUT, I am wearing 2-3 sizes bigger than I did the last time I was at this weight. So, in 2013, I need to tone and tighten and get back in shape, as well as drop that last 10lbs. I was just (finally!) cleared by my MD to exercise again after a knee/back issue that sidelined me for almost a year. I’m superexcited to get moving again!!

  360. Ending goal 155 lbs , 4 fruits, 4 veggies and 30 minute work out a day. I haven’t set myself a goal for the year 2013 because I would just be setting myself up to fail. I quit smoking last year and I plan on getting to where I want to be the same way I quit smoking , one day at a time. It’s so much easier to set smaller goals that seem doable. My eating habits are awful. I don’t like anything that is good for me. My goal this week is to exercise for 10 minutes and eat one piece of fruit every day. Trust me that’s a big deal for me. Zumba sounds more like fun than exercise so this just might be what I need to get that 30 minute work out goal met. Thanks for sharing this with all of us~!
