Due to having Spinal Stenosis my weight loss has been slow this past year, but I’m proud to announce I’ve lost 51lbs in 2012. I want to lose 75 more for 2013 & I would be happy with another 50lbs. There was one young lady that caught my attention on a newer commercial for Zumba – she said that she was able to “move” without anyone watching and sit, if she got tired and that only she was able to take that next step forward to keep going – she looks great now! I started my New Year’s Resolution a little early this year. I’m already down 30lbs, with only 10 more to go. BUT, I am wearing 2-3 sizes bigger than I did the last time I was at this weight. My fitness goal this year is to work out more to lose weight and get off my Diabetes and Cholesterol medication. I’ve already lost 42 pounds last year and need to find a new exercise regimen to get over this plateau.

Ending goal 155 lbs , 4 fruits, 4 veggies and 30 minute work out a day. I haven’t set myself a goal for the year 2013 because I would just be setting myself up to fail. I quit smoking last year and I plan on getting to where I want to be the same way I quit smoking , one day at a time. It’s so much easier to set smaller goals that seem doable. My eating habits are awful. I don’t like anything that is good for me. My goal this week is to exercise for 10 minutes and eat one piece of fruit every day. Trust me that’s a big deal for me. Zumba sounds more like fun than exercise so this just might be what I need to get that 30 minute work out goal met. Thanks for sharing this with all of us~!

In 2012, I lost about 60 pounds or so. For 2013, my goal is to exercise at least 3 days a week, eat healthier foods (including more veggies!) and lost another 60 pounds. I’ll be smaller than ever and look forward to that!
