Have you ever tried yoga? You would be surprised over how many wonderful health benefits yoga has to offer anyone, but especially moms. Because of health restrictions, I cannot do any rigorous activities so yoga has been a great alternative for me. But don’t mistake low impact for low benefit.

Range of Motion – Yoga increases the range of motion in joints and may also increase lubrication in the joints, which results in a sense of ease and fluidity throughout your body.

Strength – Both strength and endurance are benefits of yoga. Many of the standing poses build upper body strength, which is very important as we age.

Improved Posture – With increased strength and flexibility comes better posture. Yoga strengthens your core making you more likely to sit or stand tall.

Massaging of All Organs of the Body – Yoga is the only form of activity which massages all the internal glands and organs of the body. This stimulation and massage of the organs benefits us by keeping away disease.

Complete Detoxification – Detoxification seems to be all the rage these days. Yoga safely provides a full body detoxification by ensuring the optimum blood supply reaches various parts of the body. This helps in flushing out toxins from every nook and cranny. This natural detoxification leads to delayed aging and energy.
