Take A Road Trip with National Geographic Kids Travel Books {Review & Giveaway}

NG - RoadWarriorGiveaway

I was recently traveling by air with my 11 year old niece Maddie. Throughout our 4 1/2 hour flight Maddie kept busy by tracking our progress across the country. Kids get bored so easily while traveling and it's hard to find things that will hold their attention for long periods of time. National Geographic offers 2 fun, interactive books that will make your next road trip with the kids a breeze! We received The Ultimate U.S. Road Trip Atlas and National Parks Guide U.S.A. books to review. Both books are a lot of fun to read whether you are on a road trip or planning your next family vacation. If you are homeschooling, these books would make a great edition to your Geography … [Read more...]

Pageant Teaching Girls to be Good Stewards of Their Communities

pageant

My grand daughter participated in pageants for several years. She has a lot of great memories from doing pageants. It was important for us that Maddie not feel pressure and have fun doing pageants. The Miss Heart of the USA Pageant is one that encourages these things. I realize there are people who view pageants in a negative light, but from experience I can say it has been a great confidence builder for Maddie. You just have to be choosy about which pageants you participate in. The Miss Heart of the USA … [Read more...]

These St Patrick's Day jokes for kids are sure to ignite a few giggles! First, here's a little St Patrick's Day history to share with your little ones. St. Patrick's Day began as a religious holiday to honor St. Patrick, who brought Christianity to Ireland in the fifth century.
