Fruity Pebbles Valentine’s Day Cards
These Valentines are so simple to make. All you need is some card stock or craft paper, clear craft glue, and Fruity Pebbles cereal.
How to make them:
Clear drying craft glue works best for this project. You may want to use a pencil to lightly draw out your design, before applying the glue. Cover the entire surface of your design ( in this case a heart shape) with glue. Sprinkle Fruity Pebbles cereal over the top. Gently push down on the cereal with the palm of your hands. Shake off any excess cereal onto a paper towel. Allow to dry completely.
Don’t you just love how colorful these are? Obviously, since you are using cereal you aren’t going to keep these cards around too long. The fun is in making them. You could optionally cover the cereal with a craft spray sealant to keep them a little longer.
Your kids will love making a special mailbox for Valentines. Tati is over-the-moon happy with how her box turned out. She is going to ask her teacher if she can bring it into school to hold the Valentines she gets from classmates.
Next up is the cereal box mailbox. I remember making one of these in school when I was a kid. Some activities never stop being fun.

Here’s what you’ll need to make yours:
Empty cereal box
tape
X-ACTO knife and scissors
craft paper and/or paint
stickers and other embellishments
Begin by cutting a mail slot. This will be rectangle in the front of your box, where the mail will be dropped in.
Next, tape the top of the box closed.
Then wrap it in craft paper, like you would wrap a gift. We used white craft paper, but brown would look nice too. You can even choose to paint the box instead.
Lastly, embellish your box. When it comes to the embellishments use whatever you want to decorate the box. Stick-on gems would be nice. You can use stickers like we did. Buttons or lace. You could even decorate with markers or paint. Just get creative and have fun with it.

While it is perfect for holding Valentine’s Day cards, this box actually has a lot of different uses. You can fill your box with stickers, small books, art supplies and more. Your child can enjoy it year round. I love the idea of surprising Tati each day by dropping a sweet note, a funny joke or a small toy inside. I think we’ll have to make another since she is bringing this one to school!
