Our House is Round written by Yolanda Kondonassis and illustrated by Joan Brush is the perfect introduction to conservation for young children. With it’s easy to understand explanations and over forty colorful illustrations, children get a valuable lesson about why our planet needs cleaning up and how we can all make a difference.

The book discusses the cause and effect of pollution and offers solutions such as recycling and energy conservation in a way that is fun and interesting for kids. A ‘Messy Planet Action Plan’ is provided offering children simple and realistic ways they can help clean to up our planet.

Yolanda Kondonassis is a Grammy-nominated classical harpist and founder/director of Earth at Heart, a nonprofit organization devoted to increasing earth awareness through the arts.

The beautiful hand painted illustrations are by Joan Brush, a fashion designer and illustrator with a background in children’s literature and design.
