I have visited Dream Tulum with my husband and 2 children and I would highly recommend this resort for anyone travelling with their family. There was an amazing kids’ club where we could drop the kids off and they would stay all day. The kids liked it so much they decided to stay and have dinner with the kids’ club so hubby and I got to go eat dinner by ourselves. It was an amazing time. The resort is beautiful. The food and drinks are great and the kids ask to go back there all the time!! Dreams Tulum all the way!!

I suggest choosing Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa in Dominican Republic. I was lucky enough to go to their sister spot in Punta Cana and LOVED it. Would jump at the chance to get to experience a luxury vacation again at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa.

Oh how I would love to go to Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa in Dominican Republic! I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. One of the coldest places in North America. It has been a pretty rough winter as most of you know, our average temp. has been around -30C or -22F. We need to thaw out and I can not think of a more beautiful place than at a Dreams resort!

  7. Amy Meister says

Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa sounds like a marvelous place to finally honeymoon after over a decade of no vacations! Let’s go!!!

Good Luck Ladies!…I’ve had the good fortune of staying at these Dreams Resorts and they are as fabulous in real life as they are in their photos. A year ago I had the good fortune to help plan my cousin’s wedding at a Dreams Resort. It was SO MUCH fun and made such great memories for our family to share for years to come!

We went to Dreams Cancun before we had kids and loved it. Even though there were families there I could hardly notice. I would love to go back now that we have 3 children!!!

  14. Rhonda Robinson says

That is a tough decision! I have stayed at the Dreams in Huatulco with my young family and love the high quality standards all Dreams Resorts offer. I personally would chose Dreams Tulum, I have an adventurous young family who would be thrilled to explore an ancient Mayan Pyramid and snorkel off the world’s 2nd largest barrier reef in the world…..just off the resorts shore! Take time for a “Mommy Moment” if you get a chance, the Spa by Pevonia is AMAZING!

  15. Elly Craig says

The Polar Vortex has me stressed! I need to unthaw on the beach at the Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic!

Dreams LaRomana is the place to be, love the DR! Perfect weather and no worries!

I am so ready to get away from this below zero weather and many feet of snow!

  17. Angela Grover says

We took our two boys to the Dreams Riviera and it was amazing. Since then, my husband and I have visited their sister resort for adults only in Hualtulco – also unbelievable. The service, food, rooms, and cleanliness of these resorts are top notch. This year we are looking at the Dreams La Romana to go as a family. Go there Angela and maybe we’ll see you! Wherever you decide, with this chain of resorts, you can’t lose! Enjoy!

  18. Stacy Murphy says

We have stayed in a dreams resort and it is wonderful! I would choose Dreams Tulum it sounds wonderful. Once you go you will dream of it every year with a different resort in mind each time!

  19. Lisa Green says

@sagehaven recommends Dreams Tulum – you will be close to so many amazing natural wonders, from the Mayan ruins at Tulum, to the sea turtles at Akumal Beach, to the exploration and entertainment that awaits you at Xcaret and Xel-Ha … or you can just stay on resort and relax! Having been to the Mayan Riviera numerous times already, I can attest to the fact the beauty of this region never diminishes no matter how many times you see it. Good luck to you and to the lucky commenter who wins a vacation as well!

  20. Andrea spencer says

We went to dreams tulum on honeymoon in 2009 and have been dreaming of going back ever since and now we have our little girl we know how fantastic it would be for her we have told lots of friends about it and a few have been so we feel its our turn especially as weather is so awful.

  21. Lori Berry says

For our 25th anniversary we went to a resort for the first time and chose Dreams Puerto Aventuras it was a great choice, the resort was small, the people were wonderful and service was more than we expected. We loved the view from our room and the beach. On our way home we decided to save all year and go away the next year. Our next vacation was Dreams Punta Cana Dominican Republic as we were hoping the resort was wonderful, good service great food. The beach was breath taking and you could walk along the beach for miles with no developement, only we found the boats came in close and fast on the beach. So once home we saved and this christmas we took our adult children to Dreams La Romana DR. The resort was great, great food, service the beach was different not the same pretty sand you could walk along with out development but you could snorkel out safely for quite the distance. They did a fabulous christmas events and gave the children a gift from santa it was very impressive. We are now saving to go to Dreams Costa Rica or Dreams Tullum next year. We save all year for that week at Dreams and think it is worth it every time.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any Dreams resort. Of the three, I would choose Dreams Tulum. We’ve been there once and had such a wonderful time, I can’t wait to go back. The resort is beautifully laid out, the restaurants are wonderful and there are so many wonderful places to see nearby. Plus, Dreams Tulum had the very best Margaritas I’ve had anywhere!

I love to travel and visit new places but since having kids the vacations are slim to none. Reading all these comments have me so excited to finally visit heaven.

  32. Hannah says

WOW! With all of the cold weather we have been having here lately, any of these beautiful resorts would be amazing to visit. The best part is that the beaches all look gorgeous! If I had to pick one of these lovely resorts Tulum is the one I would choose!

  33. Monica Robertson says

Dreams Tulum is my favorite place on earth! I’ve been 3 times (so far). It is secluded enough that you are not bothered by other resorts or beach vendors. The staff is incredible…they really go above & beyond to make sure you enjoy everything. On-site dive shop is really good too…we did a whale shark tour, snorkeled with sea turtles & the reef, and a cenote. We were with another couple & their daughter (aged, 8, 9 and then 10 on our last visit). She loved the kids club the first year. After that she just made friends at the pool & checked in once in a while for sunscreen. GO…have fun!

  34. Dorothy Boucher says

oh wow , how lovely.. that water looks so refreshing and warm , i can almost feel that summer breeze and the sun on my face ;) thanks for share
