Hickory Farms Holiday Party Ideas + Giveaway #HickoryTradition

When the beautifully packaged Hickory Farms Toast the Traditions gift basket arrived, I knew instantly that we were going to have a party. A really good party! After all, both Hickory Farms and holiday parties are family tradition at my house. Filled with Signature Beef Summer Sausage, creamy cheddar cheeses, extra-large Crown Comice® & Red D’Anjou Pears, bright Fuji Apples, crunchy nuts and delectable chocolate-covered cashews, and a bottle of La Crema Chardonnay this crate had just about everything I needed to throw a fabulous little (pre) holiday get together. Since I’m not a stingy person, I figured I would share these super easy Hickory Farms holiday party ideas with you.

Tis the season, after all!

Hickory Farms Holiday Party Ideas

The crate that our Hickory Farms holiday gift arrived in is a gift all in itself. It’s something that I will be able to reuse over and over again. For our little holiday shindig, we used the crate to hold things like plates, napkins and utensils for our guests. A few holiday picks and some holiday cloth napkins easily transformed that ordinary crate into something special.

The fruits were perfectly ripened and ready to eat a few days after our gift crate arrived. We used both varieties of pears, the Fuji apples, Signature Beef Summer Sausage, and both cheeses to create a Christmas tree platter. We additionally added some tomatoes and fresh parsley for some added color. A simple yogurt and honey dipping sauce was prepared, and some whole wheat crackers were served to round it all out. My Mom put this platter together, and as always she did a wonderful job on it.

We placed the pistachios, mixed nuts, and chocolate covered cashews into champagne flutes for easy serving. The La Crema Chardonnay was absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that there wasn’t a second bottle of it. It was so easy to put this party together with the help of Hickory Farms. I hope it’s given you a little holiday inspiration. The Toast the Traditions Gift Crate that we received is available on the Hickory Farms web site, currently for $99.99, and is sure to be a much appreciated holiday gift by anyone on your gift giving list this year.
