KELLOGG’S Love Your Cereal Campaign + Giveaway

We are a cereal family. During the morning rush, cereal is my go-to meal for a quick and nutritious breakfast. For breakfast, I stick to the healthier cereal options that are high in fiber. It’s a good option for all of us. And I am here to tell you that fiber is your friend, especially when you hit your 40s. Sometimes for a late night snack I like to enjoy a bowl of cereal, instead of a bowl of ice cream. It’s definitely a healthier alternative. Being the cereal lover that I am, I was excited when asked to participate in a campaign to spread the word about the Kellogg’s Love Your Cereal campaign. Did you know that 9 out of 10 children do not get enough fiber in their diet, and this could contribute to kids becoming occasionally irregular. That’s why Kellogg’s wants to let us know that there are tasty fiber options, like our kids’ favorite cereals, fruits and veggies to help get kids the fiber they need throughout the day. In fact, constipation is reportedly the cause for almost 5 percent of all pediatric outpatient visits.

Kellogg’s knows it’s important to kick off your day with a fiber containing breakfast in order to help get the recommended amount throughout the day. That’s why they offer more ready-to-eat cereals that are a good source of fiber (3 grams) than any other U.S. food company.

Kellogg’s Froot Loops, Apple Jacks and Mini-Wheats (3 of my personal favorites) have between 3-6 grams of fiber per serving, making them a good to excellent source of fiber that kids love. Kellogg’s cereals can be an important (and tasty) source of the fiber plus the whole grains children need to help keep their tummies happy.

    Our mornings are usually a bit crazy with trying to get the kids to school and the little one I babysit being dropped off (about 30 minutes before we have to leave to take the big kids to school). So I usually make a smoothie so I can bring it on the walk to take the kids to school. I do love bagel thins though.
