Leave the Cold Behind and Visit Puerto Rico {Sweepstakes}

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Brrr! It's cold outside. I really do love this time of the year, and all the festivities that come with the holiday season. Eventually though (usually around mid February) I will tire of bundling up in layers of clothes, scarves and gloves in an attempt to stay warm. I will be dreaming of leaving the cold behind and visiting some place tropical and warm like Puerto Rico. After all, the new year is just days away so it's time to start thinking about 2014 travel destinations. 2014 would be a great year to visit Puerto Rico!

Why Visit Puerto Rico?

- Take in some local history and enjoy old world charm of San Juan.
- A horse back ride on the magnificent Camuy caverns that runs through the 3rd largest subterranean river in the world.
- Foodies can experience the delicacies of Puerto Rico and it’s famous Rums.
- Explore the coastline –including Flamenco Beach in Culebra, which is often cited as one of the best beaches in the world!

  1. I liked SeePuertoRico on Facebook. I am interested in everything! I particularly to walk thru town and experience life from the street. I want to experience bio-luminescence. And food! I want to try all types of food. Plus, I want to speak nothing but Spanish so I can keep those skilled honed (although I understand most of the people speak English).

  2. I would LOVE to go to Puerto Rico and stay at the Parador MaunaCaribe. While in Toro Verde I would most definitely go Zip Lining on La Bestia. It’s been one of the items in my bucket list. I’d also love to give a try at Rapelling while there. I love the beach, so I would spend plenty of time walking on the beach, wading in the water, soaking in the rays, and sipping fine, local rum cocktails. Adventure and relaxation. Can’t get much better than that! And to know that I don’t even need a Passport nor to worry about currency exchange – I am SO there! Think I found the best birthday gift for myself!

    My husband and I are newlyweds. A few years ago before we were married we saw bio-luminescence in the Cayman Islands. My husband went absolutely nuts. He loved it and said he felt like he was in Avatar. I couldn’t get him out of the water – even though there were tons of jellyfish in the sea! He said he felt the risk of the jellyfish was worth it to experience the magical light show that he was creating with his movement in the water.
    The bio-luminescence in Puerto Rico is supposed to be the best in the world. I would love to take my husband to see it and see the excitement in his face!!
