Silk Fruit&Protein Seasonal Fruit Smoothies – Get Juiced About Protein!

We are always making smoothies in our house and like having them at all different times of the day. Smoothies are great for breakfast, lunch and dessert. I like that they can easily be made with whatever seasonal fruits and ingredients are on hand.

A Smoothie A Day Keeps the Doctor Away!

I try to make sure that our smoothies always contain dairy, fruit, and protein. I’ve been adding protein powder to our smoothies for the longest time, although I have to admit that I don’t much care for the texture and flavor that it adds. I was thrilled to learn about Silk Fruit&Protein as something I could use in our smoothies for protein.

We headed to our local Walmart the other day in search of Silk Fruit&Protein and seasonal fruits for our smoothies. We found Silk Fruit&Protein in the milk section of our Walmart, right between the milk and coffee creamer. Our store carried Silk Fruit&Protein in three different flavors: Mixed Berry, Strawberry Banana and Mango Peach. It was a tough decision to make, but we went with the Strawberry Banana.

You never really know what fruits are going to be in the store, so I didn’t have a plan. There were some beautiful strawberries and bananas available. I had hoped to find peaches, but instead found plums and nectarines. The nectarines were beautiful, so I grabbed a few of them also. We easily found everything we needed to make some seasonal fruit smoothies for breakfast in the morning.
