What's in my bag this spring?

As I was purging my purse of crumpled receipts over the weekend, I got to thinking that it might be fun to show you what’s inside my bag this spring.

First, let’s talk about the bag I am using. It’s not a designer label, but I just love it. It adds a fun pop of color to whatever I am wearing. The small size prevents me from weighing myself down with too much stuff, and it doesn’t get in the way of outdoor activities. There are some great pockets on both the inside and outside of the bag, for easy organization.

I used to carry a ridiculously large tote bag everywhere I went. You know the kind that’s so heavy it makes your back ache, and it takes 15 minutes to find something. A couple of years ago, I switched to carrying a small crossbody bag and I’ve never looked back. I found that I didn’t need most of the stuff that I was carrying around. My back and shoulders thank me for this change.

Many thanks to DASANI for partnering with me on this blog post. As always, all opinions are my own.

So, what’s in my bag this spring?

Journal – I always have a journal with me in case a good idea pops into my head. Some of my favorite blog posts started with a few scribbles in a notebook.

Lip Balm and Lip Gloss – I am currently using eos lip balm and bareMinerals marvelousMoxie lip gloss in TRAILBLAZER, when I want a bit of color.

My Phone – An absolute must. I love my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The larger size is perfect for all of the work I do from it when away from home.

Ear Buds – For when I want to listen to some tunes.

Business Cards – I always keep few of them stashed in my bag. A girl never knows when a new opportunity might present itself.

Hair Clips – A few assorted hair clips help keep my nappy hair at bay. I often keep it pulled back on a hot spring day.

Sun Screen – Since my bag is small, a sunscreen stick is perfect. With my fair skin, I always have to have sunscreen on hand.

Hand Lotion – I have seriously dry hands – year round. A small tube of hand lotion is a must for me.

DASANI DROPS® Infusions – I am always trying to drink more water, so DASANI Drops flavor enhancer is an absolute must. I easily get tired of drinking plain water, and the flavor I get from DASANI Drops is something I look forward to and ensures I am drinking enough. The small bottle and tight fitting lid makes it perfect for keeping in a purse or gym bag. My favorite flavor is currently the Strawberry Basil, but the Lime is pretty great too.

I do, of course, keep some other necessities in my bag such as a small wallet and a packet of tissues. Sometimes, a few Ibuprofen or allergy pills. The pollen is already kicking my allergies into high gear.

At home, I also enjoy the new DASANI Sparkling Black Cherry. Have you tried it yet? It’s oh-so yummy. Right now, you can save on both DASANI Drops and their delicious sparkling waters using the Target Cartwheel App!

  • You have all the essentials but I feel like you listed “after” you cleaned it out- haha Either that or I need to take a class from you because I have more junk in my purse than needed!

  • I really need to downsize my purse. I get tired of kiddo and hubs throwing their stuff in my bag for me to keep track of. Like you I must carry my phone and a notebook. I also carry a bottle of liquid monk fruit in the raw. That way, when I want something sweet in my coffee or tea, I have an alternative to sugar and splenda.
