You may have heard me mention my New Year’s resolution to take better care of myself. A healthier diet, exercise, more sleep, and more ‘me’ time are all a part of my plan for a healthier lifestyle. Changing my eating habits is by far going to be my biggest challenge. So far I have been doing really well, but it’s just a matter of time before I waver – especially when that sweet tooth of mine kicks in.
But who said you can’t enjoy a sweet treat when you are on a diet? Clearly it’s someone who hasn’t tried Yoplait Light yogurt!
My fridge is currently stocked with lots of fruit, vegetables and plenty of Yoplait Light yogurts. I have a feeling those yogurts are going to be my saving grace. About A Mom has partnered with Yoplait for this sponsored post, and after browsing the 150 calorie snack hacks on the Yoplait Pinterest page, I got inspired to come up with my own 150 calorie recipe snack hack.
This 150 Calorie Strawberry Shortcake is oh-so yummy. It’s perfect for those in-between meal moments when you just can’t wait, and for those times when you crave something sweet. Plus, they contain no fat or aspartame.
The 90 calorie Strawberry Shortcake Yoplait Light Yogurt is one of my faves, and by adding some fresh strawberries and graham cracker crumbs you get that traditional strawberry shortcake taste without all the fat and calories.
I might not be able to eat my favorite Strawberry Cupcakes, but I can still get my strawberry fix.
Strawberry Shortcake Recipe Hack
Ingredients:
1 (6 ounce) container Yoplait Light Strawberry Shortcake yogurt
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, cut into pieces
1 graham cracker square, crumbled
Simply combine all of the ingredients and enjoy.
If your graham crackers are long sheets with 4 perforated rectangles, you will break it in half and use just one square piece. That should be around 40 calories, depending on the brand. There are 24 calories in 1/2 cup of strawberries. Combined with the Yoplait Light yogurt you should fall into the 150 calorie mark.
What are some of your favorite healthy, low-calorie snacks and treats?

i love strawberry shortcake too much and this is going to really help me stay on track.
When the weather is a little warmer, this is one of my favorite summertime treats. I am an ice cream addict, but it’s not my best friend in the weight department. I have been eating Yoplait yogurts for many years and then just stopped. Not sure why. I’ve been bring them home more and more often these days.
What a great idea! this looks so yummy!
Yum. I love anything strawberry. Graham crackers aren’t a regular item in my house as I tend to eat them all. LOL.
This looks soo good. I have trouble eating plain yogurt of any flavor and don’t want to eat the ones that come with chocolate. I never thought to do this. It would be very easy to pack this to go for a snack at work.
This looks delish! I bet vanilla wafers as a sub for graham crackers is good too!
I wonder if I could use teddy grahams???
I don’t see why not. That would be awfully cute too!
This sounds good and sounds like something my daughter would like.
This looks yummy. Sometimes I just want a little crunch with a dessert, and this would satisfy that craving. 🙂
