A Florida Prepaid College Plan allows families to lock in college plan prices and prepay, on a monthly or lump-sum basis, the future cost of college tuition, tuition differential fee, local fees and, optionally, dormitory housing. When your student is ready for college, the Plan pays the costs covered under your plan type at any Florida College or State University, even if the cost of college is higher than anticipated when your plan prices were set. Should your child attend college out-of-state or not at all, no worries. You can learn more about that here.
Have peace of mind knowing that every Prepaid Plan is guaranteed by the State of Florida and you can never lose what you pay into it.
Invest in Your Child’s Future
As a parent, you invest in your child’s life every day. It’s those little things you do each day, but also the experiences you share with them and the long-term investments you make for them that matter so much. When my child goes to college, the last thing I want is for her to worry about is paying for tuition and books. I want her focused on her studies and new experiences.
Who knows what degree she’ll want to earn in seven years? Right now she’s contemplating whether or not she will be a classical musician or space scientist or do medical research. And, I’m sure this will all change a dozen or more times between now and high school graduation. One thing I can be sure about though, is that she won’t have to worry about how to pay for college.
Lowest Plan Prices in Years!
On January 13, Florida Prepaid announced a $1.3 billion price reduction. This impacted 224,000 current customers and also lowered prices for the current Open Enrollment period.
The new 2020 plan prices start as low as $44/month, saving for college is even simpler and more affordable for every family and every budget.
It pays to have an education. According to data from the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, graduates with bachelor’s degrees nationwide earn on average 65% more per year than those without.
