Cracker Barrel is one of those restaurants that my family will never grow tired of. The warm and inviting ambiance, fresh made food, and the Old Country Store keep us coming back. My family has been there countless times and I still get excited when one of the kids says that’s where they want to eat. Cracker Barrel is the first stop of the morning whenever my mom and I embark on one of our marathon shopping days. Here are just a few of the things that keep us going back to Cracker Barrel:
Ambiance. The rocking chairs that line the restaurant’s front porch are so inviting. You simply can’t resist sitting and rocking for a spell. The rustic decor and big stone fireplace inside the restaurant make you feel like you’ve taken a trip back in time. It feels like home.
Fresh Made Food. Delicious, old-fashioned Southern cooking is what you can expect. I love that the breakfast menu is available all day, and I always order the Old Timer Breakfast with a big helping of hash brown casserole. One of my girls loves the Chicken and Dumplings while the other enjoys the veggie plate. There are so many awesome veggies and sides to choose from.
Cracker Barrel’s Retail Store. Every Cracker Barrel restaurant has an Old Country Store where you will find old fashioned goodies, toys, clothing, accessories and items for the home. So many great products! I have purchased my fair share of clothing and accessories from Cracker Barrel. They always have such a lovely selection of scarves.Â
My gang will be going back to Cracker Barrel for dinner tonight! I’m looking forward to it. Be sure to follow @aboutamom on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all the delicious #cboldcountrystore fun!
What keeps you going back to Cracker Barrel and The Old Country Store?

I can’t tell you how badly I want to visit a Cracker Barrel! How have I never been to one yet?!
I love me some fried apples from the Cracker Barrel. One of my favorite places to eat!
Cracker Barrel surely is an inviting restaurant and makes you feel comfortable. Another reason we go to this place is that the chain seems to be in very convenient places, especially while traveling interstates and such.
Down home cooking! Oh my gosh they have the BEST breakfast and the BEST dumpins!
Ohh yes please – I’m always up for trying somewhere near to eat! x
I have never eaten at cracker barrel before. I’m going to have to add this to places I want to eat at.
We used to stop here quite a bit. It was a really nice place to get dinner after the kids were done with practice.
Freshly made food is always the best. I will keep this place in mind when I go there.
I have never been to Cracker Barrel. They are just not in California. When I go east next month, I’ll have to persuade the hubby to stop at one when we see one.
