Many Thanks to Disney for hosting my family for this event.

This celebration has been one of the most popular Disney events each year since it began in 1983, but this year was my family’s first time attending. Have I mentioned lately how glad I am we made the move to Central Florida?

Our Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Favorites

1. A Frozen Holiday Wish

Kicking off the celebration is the must-see offering, “A Frozen Holiday Wish” located on the Castle Stage. Watch as royal sisters Anna and Elsa lead a celebration for their friends on the Castle Forecourt Stage that culminates in Queen Elsa using her incredible powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a shimmering ice palace for the holidays. That transformation is a thing of beauty and one of my favorite moments of the night.

2. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade

My families favorite part of the night was “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade.” It’s a must-see and be sure to secure your spot along the parade route early. The parade happens twice during each party night and begins in Frontierland by Splash Mountain and makes it way to the Castle and then down Main Street. This enchanting holiday parade features dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, Disney characters, Santa Claus and more bringing the fun straight down Main Street, U.S.A. The marching toy soldiers were my absolute fav!

3. Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration

The holidays come alive in a jubilant stage show featuring features Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Peter Pan, Jessie & Woody from Toy Story, Snow White and Dopey, Pinocchio, and other surprise guests. The show begins 7:40, 9:25, 10:30, and 11:55 every night of the Party right on Castle Forecourt Stage. Even with 4 opportunities to see this show, I encourage you go get to it early. The area around the stage fills up fast.

There is special holiday-themed food at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, including some freebies. We had so much fun just going throughout the park to try all of the free treats.

6. Photo Opportunities and Special Character Experiences

See Also

There are tons of fun photo opportunities thanks to all the festive decor and special holiday character experiences. My little girl is obsessed with Toy Soldiers this holiday season. She was thrilled to see these characters as soon as we entered the park. You can get photos with hard to find characters like Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws, and all 7 of the Seven Dwarfs together!

7. A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas

This dance party with Stitch, Mike Wazowski, Buzz Lightyear and a troupe of intergalactic dancers happens in Tomorrowland between Space Mountain and the People Mover. We weren’t able to get up close while this show was going. Like the other show on the Castle Stage, you’ll want to get to this one a little earlier. Multiple performances happen throughout the night.

At 10 pm each night, the skies light up for Holiday Wishes, a truly spectacular holiday fireworks display. The truly memorable show is set to holiday tunes and lights up the sky above Magic Kingdom Park.
