With a new baby on the way, we have been slowly buying things we need new or to replace from our first son. One thing was a baby monitor. With Sawyer, we just had an audio monitor, but this time I was hoping to get a video monitor instead. I am sure it would give me a better peace of mind after we moved the baby into his own room.
Because this was already on our baby registry, I was thrilled when LOREX Baby wanted to send me a video monitor to review. Getting this would allow us to cross one more thing off the “to buy” list!
We received the LOREX Sweet Peek Digital Baby Monitor with Wireless Camera. For now, we have been using it in Sawyer”s room. We were still using his regular audio monitors, just because I like to know everything”s okay when I cannot be in the room with my son. I can tell you that this is a huge upgrade!
The monitor comes with everything you need to use it and the camera. There is an included rechargeable battery for the monitor. For the camera, you can use AAA batteries or the A/C adapter. I put batteries in ours soon after we began using it, just in case the power were to go out one night. It also comes with cable clips so you can keep the cable away from “grabby” hands as your baby becomes mobile.
I have been using the monitor throughout the day and night for Sawyer. He likes to play in his room alone sometimes, so I can still check in on him without needing to interrupt. At night, I can make sure he”s comfortable and fine while asleep in his bed.

We are actually discussing purchasing a second camera so one can stay in Sawyer”s room, since the monitor will work with up to four cameras at once.

never heard of this brand before. I love the clarity on the camera but I wish the packaging wouldn’t be so false. There’s no way the camera is THAT clear and they shouldn’t show a picture like that.

A video monitor was a must for us. Some people thought we were nuts for wanting one, but I have never regretted it. Nick is so quite that sometimes you only know he’s awake by seeing him move.
I have never had a video baby monitor but now that we’ve recently had our second child I’m definitely considering one. I’ve always wanted one but they’re pretty expensive.
