I used to have great dental coverage through my employer. Now that I am on Medicare, I no longer have dental insurance. I hate to admit it, but I have been putting off going to the dentist because of the cost and am quite overdue. I always thought that purchasing a dental plan was outside of my reach. After all, most insurance plans are very expensive.
Recently, I learned of the site www.dentalplans.com which helps you locate affordable dental insurance in your area. I was not expecting to find much available to me since I live in such a rural area, but I was surprised by the long list of affordable dental plans that are available to me. All I had to do was plug in my zip code to get a complete list. There are plans available to me for as little as $79.99 per year. Some of the plans even include Orthodontics and there are also family plans available.
For each plan you get a break down of what services normally cost without insurance compared to a comparison of your cost under the plan. It’s convenient to see what the savings would be for each service. The site also includes a Dentist look-up tool as well as information on Vision and Hearing plans. I am so glad to learn that quality dental insurance is something that I can actually afford.
