Back to school means a busy schedule for most families with homework, tutoring, band practice, scouts, and ball practice all making demands on our time. Add to that feeding the kids nutritious meals and it can be overwhelming. How do you do it all?
Luckily, Yummy Dino Buddies is here to help with convenient and fun dinosaur-shaped and alphabet-shaped nuggets that are fully cooked and go from the freezer, to the oven or microwave and onto the table in hardly any time at all!
We’ve been back to school for several weeks now, and I’m finally starting to feel like we have a good after school routine. T is in fifth grade this year and is most definitely getting ready for another growth spurt. That girl is always hungry and comes home from school ready for a big snack that will hold her until dinner. I typically opt for a high protein snack that will give her the energy she needs to get through the afternoon.
Yummy Dino Buddies are nutritionally balanced and something I can feel good about serving.
I love the convenience of the Yummy Dino Buddies nuggets and that I can pick up a box of them when stocking up at Sam’s Club. You can also find them at many Walmart and Target stores.

Making mealtime fun encourages kids to eat more healthy foods and I can’t think of anything more fun than dinosaur shaped nuggets. Chicken Parmesan is one of my family’s favorite dishes and it inspired this fun dinosaur scene.
Here’s what you need to recreate this fun after school snack:
Yummy Dino Buddies Dinosaur-shaped nuggets
mozzarella cheese stick
3 to 4 grapes, halved
3 to 4 cherry tomatoes, halved
In the center of a plate, simply arrange the halved tomatoes and grapes at the top of the celery and mozzarella sticks to form the leaves. Then place prepared Dino Buddies dinosaur-shaped nuggets on plate, and serve with marinara.
It takes just a couple of minutes to prep and assemble this fun after school snack, and the smile you’ll see on your child’s face will make it totally worth the extra effort.
Even a Picky-saurus will roar for more!
When I’m looking for an afternoon snack, I want foods that are not only fun for my daughter, but filling, taste good and not full of sugar. Dino Buddies are made with boneless skinless chicken breast, are an excellent source of calcium, omega 3, iron, and have 0g trans fat. Just what I’m looking for!
After her snack, I like to give T a little time to relax before we get started on homework. The Yummy Dino Buddies Facebook page has some really fun content like coloring pages and quizzes for your kids. They can even meet each of the Dinos!
Dino Buddies make a great after school snack, but they can also make a perfect Back-to-School meal. They’ve been known to make an appearance at dinnertime at my house. Having Yummy Dino Buddies on hand, especially now that we are back to school is a great convenience.
