When my son was a baby, we did all the usual baby proofing like locks on the cabinets and plugs in all the outlets. But no matter what my husband and I did, my son was on a mission to get into trouble. This mindset also seemed to carry into his teen years. Anyways going back to the baby years, I finally resorted to trickery and took the locks off of a couple of kitchen cabinets that were filled with pots, pans, and Tupperware. Each time when my son proudly started banging on pots and pans, I acted like he had pulled one over on me. This trickery worked for a while, but this kid was smart and before long moved onto other things.
I did my best to keep things out of reach, but one day my beautiful snowy white Maltese puppy trotted into the room with bright blue polka dots. Upon closer inspection I discovered that my son had come across a blue smiley face ink stamper and covered the dog in blue smiley faces. Off to the groomers we went that day. As much as I wanted to be angry over this, I simply couldn’t stop laughing. Fortunately, this baby proofing fail was something we could chuckle about.

Oh that is too funny! My son had fun one day when we were moving I opened up all the cabinets because there was not much left in them and he crawled around found a few pans but it was the thrill of being able to go some where he was not aloud before.
Huggies definitely helped to keep my lap and my boys dry when they were little.

We try to do baby proofing but it seems they can still get in to anything. The best was when I learned my 2 year old could open the refrigerator. I found him playing with eggs on my sofa! 😉
Your son sounds like mine. He’s almost 2 and keeps up on our toes. He always seems to find a way to get into something, even if we baby proofed, too funny!
