When my son was a baby, we did all the usual baby proofing like locks on the cabinets and plugs in all the outlets. But no matter what my husband and I did, my son was on a mission to get into trouble. This mindset also seemed to carry into his teen years. Anyways going back to the baby years, I finally resorted to trickery and took the locks off of a couple of kitchen cabinets that were filled with pots, pans, and Tupperware. Each time when my son proudly started banging on pots and pans, I acted like he had pulled one over on me. This trickery worked for a while, but this kid was smart and before long moved onto other things.
I did my best to keep things out of reach, but one day my beautiful snowy white Maltese puppy trotted into the room with bright blue polka dots. Upon closer inspection I discovered that my son had come across a blue smiley face ink stamper and covered the dog in blue smiley faces. Off to the groomers we went that day. As much as I wanted to be angry over this, I simply couldn’t stop laughing. Fortunately, this baby proofing fail was something we could chuckle about.

Some how they’ve always seemed to find things they shouldn’t have. Sounds silly, but if you get down on the floor and crawl, you’ll get a good idea of what babies can reach.
I am cracking up at the story about your dog! I saw a bumper sticker once that I thought was funny: “We baby proofed the house, but somehow they keep getting in!” 😉
I totally needed that bumper sticker! LOL
Haha, that made me laugh.
We baby proofed our last house for my son, but now we are in a new house and hoping to having another baby so we’ll have to baby proof all over again.

hahaha i love it. but why not pics?
my husband installed magnetic locks on all our cabinets and stuff when my oldest was 3 months . so not many stories. but for 2 years the only way i could shower was to let the kids launch my tampons out of the box down the stairs through the baby gate. don’t judge!!
We’re passed the Huggies diaper stage but we do use Huggies Pull Ups. love them
Right now, baby proofing is sort of a joke! I have a super busy toddler who can figure out how to get around all of my baby proofing attempts. lol. But we are huge Huggies fans! They are the only diaper my daughter can wear right now without rashes or leaks.
When I used disposables I loved the Huggies Little Movers. They did well on containment 🙂
We used Huggies to prevent those dreaded warm, wet spots on our lap too! That is too funny about your son. We went through the marker stage at our house too!
