Baby Proofing Your Life with Huggies

When my son was a baby, we did all the usual baby proofing like locks on the cabinets and plugs in all the outlets. But no matter what my husband and I did, my son was on a mission to get into trouble. This mindset also seemed to carry into his teen years. Anyways going back to the baby years, I finally resorted to trickery and took the locks off of a couple of kitchen cabinets that were filled with pots, pans, and Tupperware. Each time when my son proudly started banging on pots and pans, I acted like he had pulled one over on me. This trickery worked for a while, but this kid was smart and before long moved onto other things.

I did my best to keep things out of reach, but one day my beautiful snowy white Maltese puppy trotted into the room with bright blue polka dots. Upon closer inspection I discovered that my son had come across a blue smiley face ink stamper and covered the dog in blue smiley faces. Off to the groomers we went that day. As much as I wanted to be angry over this, I simply couldn’t stop laughing. Fortunately, this baby proofing fail was something we could chuckle about.

  • Oh that is too funny! My son had fun one day when we were moving I opened up all the cabinets because there was not much left in them and he crawled around found a few pans but it was the thrill of being able to go some where he was not aloud before.

  • Oh that poor dog! I’d have to laugh, too!

We try to do baby proofing but it seems they can still get in to anything. The best was when I learned my 2 year old could open the refrigerator. I found him playing with eggs on my sofa! 😉
