Back To School season is upon us! For some moms, that means a time to rejoice as their kids will be back in school for around 6+ hours and they can have more time to be productive and for other moms that just means more stress! For me it means I need to hurry up and figure out what supplies I need for my class schedule this season and for my son that means a new chapter– daycare.
The daycare Zach will possibly be attending this season is practically a preschool. They offer educational aspects like learning the alphabet, writing, learning to play with others, story time, and more along with the daycare aspect of nap time, meals, movies, and games. Since I will be sending Zach to daycare with some essentials, I thought it would only be appropriate for him to get his very first “back to school” backpack.
Although Babymel is well known for their beautiful baby bags, they also offer a new range of playful backpacks that are perfect for little ones heading to preschool, daycare, or even elementary school. They have varieties that will suit both boys and girls in unique patterns and styles. Since Zach has developed an obsession with all things trucks, I thought it would only be appropriate to choose the “Truck” design for review.
I love this backpack because it is the perfect size for my little one. The design is real fun and I love the way the face of the truck sticks out in the front, it’s adorable. Zach was super excited for his first “big kid” backpack and immediately ran to his room to load it with his books!
The backpack features adjustable padded shoulder straps to keep your little one comfortable while wearing the backpack to school. It also has a quilted back lining for added support. It has a larger pocket that’s enclosed with a zipper (which has a star charm on it I thought was a nice touch) and then one of my favorite features is the external front pocket that has a Velcro closure. The outer pocket is great for any handouts, books, or even smaller supplies like a pencil case your child may want to keep in his backpack. It also has an external water bottle pocket that I think is very useful as well.
It’s quite spacious for a small backpack and you can really fit a good amount of books, supplies, and snacks in it as well. Zach currently likes to put all of his books inside and walk around the house as if he’s going to school. It’s so cute. He’s going to get a lot of use out of it when he starts his daycare adventures and I can’t wait to see what he brings home from daycare as well. Maybe a nice little drawing I can post on the fridge.
