Back to School Spa Party!

The back to school season can be so stressful for tweens and teens. It certainly has been a a little difficult for my family to adjust to our new routine. In addition to wanting good grades, the girls have worried if they are going to fit in and make new friends. Will any boys like them? Both of my nieces are cheering this year for the middle school and varsity teams, so carving out enough time for homework and studying has been a bit of a challenge. The stress especially seems to be getting to my niece Becca who is fifteen. A couple of girls dropped from the cheer squad just days before the first big game, and she was so concerned about the team being prepared. She’s even been complaining that her face is breaking out, because of the stress. I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to partner with Johnson & Johnson for a back to school spa party. This opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time.
My goal was to give the girls and some of their friends an evening of relaxation and pampering. At twelve and fifteen, Maddie and Becca are both quick to resist anything that seems too babyish for them. So as not to embarrass them, I kept things simple this time.
On the dining room table I set out some snacks at one end, along with everything we would need for a relaxing spa party. To help combat back to school breakouts, we used some of the Clean & Clear products such as: Deep Action Cream Cleanser, Smoothing Facial Scrub, and the Blackhead Eraser Cleansing Mask.
All of the girls said that their skin felt so smooth and clean after using the Clean & Clear products. We’ll definitely be incorporating some of them into our daily skincare routine.
We really had so much fun. The girls couldn’t stop giggling over how funny everyone looked with the Blackhead Eraser Cleansing Mask smeared all over their faces. In all seriousness though, the Clean & Clear products we received will help the girls to maintain a good complexion and be confident about starting back to school. And that means a lot!
My Sister-in-Law and Mom helped me give each each girl a manicure and pedicure. I still have pink and green polish on my hands, but it so worth it to see the girls enjoy a little TLC.
Ahhh… this is the life!
