Update: I have had a few people ask about the galvanized tray and buckets used, so here is my Amazon link for the set that I purchased. It is actually this planter set that I decided to use for entertaining, instead of the garden.
Did you know that you can make any day a sundae by buying Smucker’s® Toppings at Walmart? Creating a build your own sundae bar is so easy to do, and is always sure to be a hit with family and friends. I have partnered with the J.M. Smucker Company for this sponsored post to share my sundae bar party ideas with you.
My brother and sister-in-law recently hosted a party at their house. I signed up to bring dessert, like I usually do. However, this time I caught everyone by surprise when I showed up with all the fixings for a build your own sundae bar.

A few days before the party, I headed to Walmart and stocked up on Smucker’s® Ice Cream Toppings, along with ice cream, whipped cream, and some other tasty treats.
I got all the classic Smuckers Toppings like Hot Fudge, Caramel, Marshmallow, Strawberry and Pineapple. I also picked up a bottle of Smucker’s Butterscotch Sundae Syrup with a no-mess cap. I love that no-mess cap!
The day before the party I chopped up candy bars, nuts and cookies, and got all of my other ice cream toppings ready. I placed them in small jars with tight fitting lids to keep everything fresh.
I stored all of the topping in the same containers they would be served in. Short canning jars are perfect for sundae toppings. All you have to do is add a colorful plastic spoon for serving.

I raided my sprinkles stash for some additional toppings. You can never have too many sprinkles! Miniature marshmallows are another great sundae topping. Don’t forget the maraschino cherries!
At Walmart I found a great deal on plastic bowls that matched my spoons. I added some colorful paper napkins to complete the look.
It was all so colorful and fun, yet simple. That’s how I like to do things.
Doesn’t that look so festive and yummy?
Are you ready to dig in? I had such a time keeping everyone away long enough to take some pictures. My family should be used to this blogging stuff by now. Pictures first!
Ice cream makes people happy.
The draw of the creamy vanilla ice cream and delicious Smucker’s Ice Cream Toppings was just too much for them. They were tripping all over each other trying to get to that ice cream.
My build your own sundae bar was a huge success, and it was so easy to put together.

Hi Dolly, I just added the Amazon link for the set we purchased. It is at the bottom of the post.
I love the idea of using canning jars to serve the toppings! What size did you use? Should I look for small (as in small-medium-large), or a certain ounce. Looking forward to having an ice cream bar for a ladies game night.
For the toppings like sprinkles and nuts, I used the little 4 ounce jars. Ladies game night sounds like fun!
