My family has been trying to make small changes that will help the environment. Some people have the ability go big and drive hybrid vehicles or live in energy efficient homes. For my family it’s going to be the little things that make a difference. Every small thing we do such as recycling and choosing recyclable products like cartons can make a big impact on the environment.
Choosing recyclable products such as cartons is something that I need to be a bit more conscientious about. This peek inside my fridge shows the dirty truth. (please don’t judge)
The following facts inspired me to choose cartons:
- Cartons are made with renewable energy. More than 50 percent of the energy used to make the paper in Evergreen Packaging’s cartons comes from biomass.
- Paperboard cartons contain over 70 percent paper which comes from a renewable resource, trees from responsibly managed forests.
- Over 41 million households have access to carton recycling, and that number is on the rise.
- Packaging plays a very important role in keeping food and beverages fresh. The environmental impact of a package is just as important as the contents inside.
I’ve come to realize that the little things we do as individuals really does make a difference collectively. It’s time for me to do a better job at choosing cartons over plastic. After all, the packaging we choose really does make a difference. Will you join me on my mission to choose cartons?
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Evergreen and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
