A stress-free vacation is just what this busy single mom craves, and that’s what I got at Club Med Sandpiper Bay. I recently spent a weekend there with my 9-year old and we had an absolute blast. Club Med Sandpiper Bay Resort in Port St. Lucie Florida is a large 216 acre property that’s nestled into a quiet residential community. The entire property is a tropical paradise filled with mature, lush foliage, and is located on a sandy beach on the Port St. Lucie River. While Port St. Lucie is located on the Atlantic coast, this is not an oceanfront property and I promise you that’s not something you will miss. Club Med Sandpiper Bay has everything you want in a family vacation and it will not disappoint.
Our spacious waterfront room had a gorgeous view of the marina. Our room had 2 side-by-side twin beds and 2 over-sized day beds that can be used for both sleeping and lounging. The colorful decor was updated and very nice. The beds were super comfy. I slept well which doesn’t often happen in a hotel or resort. The room also came equipped with a desk and chair, large coffee table, microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge, safe and an enormous walk-in closet. The resort also offers family rooms with separate bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms. It was a short walk to restaurants and activities.
Check out all there is to do at Club Med Sandpiper Bay:

Don’t forget to take advantage of the lap pool while you’re at Club Med. It is one of four pools at the resort. The properties main pool is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family, and the adult-only infinity pool with a view of Sandpiper Bay is stunning.

I’m not the most athletic person, but there was plenty for me to enjoy at Club Med Sandpiper Bay, including: yoga class, sailing, swimming and taking walks around the beautiful property.
We found some lovely places to stop an rest during our early morning walks.
Guests can also learn to fly on a trapeze. Where else are you going to learn that?
T and I enjoyed a round of miniature golf each evening, just before dinner.
If you just want to chill and relax, there are a lot of comfortable places to do that.
Below is where I enjoyed reading each morning, after I dropped T off at Mini Club Med:
Mealtime is always an international adventure. Meals and drinks are included in your package. The Marketplace restaurant offers an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are so many wonderful foods to choose from and the quality of the food was impressive. I particularly enjoyed the large assortment of fresh baked breads, including the white chocolate bread that Club Med is famous for.
Vacation doesn’t mean sacrificing your waistline; at Club Med you can eat & drink healthy all-day long with a fresh juice bar at breakfast, a daily featured salad at lunch and a daily healthy specialty at dinner.
During the day, you can enjoy breakfast or lunch with a view.
The fresh baked breads were AMAZING, and I was so active during the day that I didn’t feel guilty indulging a little.
There was some excitement when T spotted the dessert bar.
We really enjoyed our dinner for two with a view each night. One of the restaurant staff was nice enough to take this photo for us, and I have to mention that during our entire stay the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
The entertainment was great! Each evening, the talented resort staff put on a show. We caught a superb acrobatic Cirque du Soleil style show our first night there, as well as a laugh-out-loud musical lip-sync show on our second night that took me down memory lane. I loved watching them perform the songs from my youth, particular some of the “hair bands.” It was hysterical.
After the show you can dance the night away with the family Slice Bar. Each night the party has a different theme. We were there for the White Party and the Glow Party.
Club Med Sandpiper Bay offers fantastic kids programs and amenities for babies through teens. I took advantage of Mini Club Med each morning to get a few hours of time for myself. T had so much fun at camp. One day she even begged me to let her stay a little longer. Mini Club Med for kids ages 4 to 10 and Club Med Passworld for ages 11 to 17 are included with your program. There is an additional cost for Baby Club Med (ages 4 to 24 months) and Petit Club Med (ages 2 to 3 years old).
I have to mention the Club Med Spa by L’Occitane. It’s a great place to pamper yourself while the kids are having fun at camp. I had the most relaxing massage while I was there. After your spa treatment, be sure to spend some time in the relaxation area. Spa services are not included in your package, so you’ll want to budget a little extra for that. Trust me. You’ll be glad you did.
As the pioneer of all-inclusive resorts, Club Med continues to bring unique and fun experiences to guests with the world-class Club Med Academies of Sandpiper Bay.
I am a huge fan of Club Med and all-inclusive resorts in general for a lot of reasons. Planning an all-inclusive vacation is very easy and stress-free. Meals, drinks and activities are all included. I like sticking to a vacation budget and with an all-inclusive resort there aren’t any unexpected fees. Would I go back to Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida? In a heartbeat!
