Ask any mom what her least favorite task is, and there’s a good chance the word ‘laundry’ will be muttered. Sometimes angrily. Often through tears. Seriously. Laundry is no fun at all.

It’s such a dirty little word. A never ending chore.
I try to do a load of laundry every day, to stay on top of it. To get some help with the sorting, I recommend having three laundry hampers in the laundry room. Have one for whites, one for darks and one for colors. Then everyone is responsible for sorting their own laundry. Older kids can easily do this, and I think it is a real time saver.
What else can we do to make the task of laundry easier?
Enlist (bribe) the kids for laundry duty. Ask the hubby to help in any way he can. (Not always a good idea, if you really care about your clothes.) Buy the best high efficiency (HE) washing machine you can afford, because every minute counts and you need that laundry done fast.
After all this, why doesn’t it seem like the laundry is getting done any faster? Most likely it’s the extra SUDS that could be slowing down the laundry process. You can’t use any old detergent with your high efficiency (HE) washing machine, and expect the best results.

I never used Tide before. I might try it.
I grew up with my Mom using Tide. Now, with kids after trying to save money and using different brands, I’ve learned that Tide is the best. Even though it’s a little more expensive, I believe that in the long run, I’m saving money by using less Tide and also being able to get rid of all my family stains.
Tide is my detergent, I have tried cheaper brands and was very disappointed and came back to Tide
My laundry tip is to fold the basket of clothes as soon as you take it out of the dryer!
I would LOVE to have an HE waher, but I’m still thankful for the one we got -I have to wash so really stinky stuff sometimes, lol
I don’t have many tips for laundry but I try to take care of any stains while they are still fresh or make sure to use some sort of stain stick if it’s gonna be a little bit before it’s really washed. Then I don’t have to waste time and water washing it again.
I wish I had an HE washing machine so I could cut down on time spent doing laundry. I try to do laundry once a week early in the morning so it’s done and over with.
