It helped me kick off the second half of the school year with some new creative and fun after school snack ideas.

Having that winter break from school sure was nice, but it can be a little challenging getting back into the swing of things after a vacation. One of the things I really enjoyed over winter break was no homework. There, I said it. I am not a fan of homework, and I think my dislike for homework has rubbed off onto my 8 year old. Third grade homework can be exhausting, so an after school snack that is both yummy and good for you is paramount. Make Peanut Butter Banana Sushi

Ingredients:
Banana
Peter Pan Peanut Butter (Original, Naturals and/or Simply Ground)
Rice Cereal

Begin making banana sushi by spreading peanut butter over a banana.

Coat banana with peanut butter.

Next, roll peanut butter-covered banana in crispy rice cereal.

Roll in rice cereal to coat.

Slice banana sushi into bite-sized pieces.

Cut into 1/2 inch slices.

Banana sushi is such a fun after school snack. It’s one that the kids will enjoy helping you make. You can make this snack even more fun by eating with chop sticks.

Make Apple Sandwiches

Ingredients:
Apple
Peter Pan Peanut Butter (Original, Naturals and/or Simply Ground)
Granola

Core and slice apple.

Spread a generous amount of peanut butter onto one side of two apple slices.
