I have always been one to tear out magazine pages when I find design inspiration for a room in my house. If only my living room, bedroom or kitchen could look like those that I see in the magazines. How would I ever go about a room makeover?
Since I spend so much time on the computer these days, it only makes sense that I look for my decorating inspiration online. I found a really cool web site for home design enthusiast called Houzz. The Houzz site and mobile apps feature over 200,000 high quality interior and exterior photos. They even have articles written by design experts and product recommendations. There is a cool feature where you can create an idea book for your next project.
Houzz is an interactive web site where you can upload photos of your home and garden and swap tips with other members. I love the idea of getting feedback from other design enthusiasts!
I have been browsing Houzz to collect my favorite design photos . The next step will be to use their online index to finding design professionals in my area. Each professional listed has a ton of photos showing their work which is so handy. I certainly need all the help that I can get. Here is a picture of my currently uninspiring living room which has clearly gone to the dogs.
What’s your next home project? Where do you go for design inspiration?
