Do you know if your child has strong bones? This question has had me doing a lot of thinking recently about my family’s diet and health, in particular their bone health.
I had the opportunity to write a guest post on this topic over at Jen and Barb, Mom Life which is a site dedicated to sharing original online videos all about being in the trenches of motherhood. The topic this week is bone health and whether or not your child is getting enough calcium in their diet.
Check out this great video where Jen and Barb discuss the ABC’s of bone health with bone health expert and author Dr. Diane L. Schneider.

Not something I had ever really thought of. Definitely food for thought!
oh i hope so! LOL
Such an important issue, especially for women, who find out far to late about the damage they have done by not getting enough calcium
I know she has a hard head, she’s head butted me a couple of times and I’m the only one who was hurting…lol!
We can only hope that they do–but that when something happens when we really find out–When my son was 4 he was playing a gain of tag–of course he fell .never thought anything about it when it happened–but after a few minutes he was screaming–he had scatter the knee cap–so it can happen
Now I know! thanks for this post I know the knowledge of being strong bones of children.
This was very interesting and I didn’t think about it because the doctors have never mentioned it before. I know that my kids don’t drink very much milk but I do need to make a better effort at getting more calcium into their diets. I do give them a multivitamin which I am sure helps.
Food For thought, I never really thought about that. I know they get a lot of calcium though, my kids LOVE milk and yogurt; so I would think they would though. 🙂
Great video, informative!
