Have you ever been to Daytona Beach? I grew up in Central Florida, so weekend day trips and family vacations to Daytona Beach happened often. Some of my best childhood and family memories have been made at the beach. I no longer live so near the Atlantic Ocean, but I do get my family to the beach as often as possible.
Whether it’s just a sunset stroll on the beach, an afternoon of shell collecting, deep-sea fishing or attending one of many festivals held at Daytona Beach, there are so many fun ways to spend your time.Â
Daytona Beach is so different from other beaches. The beach is covered with a gorgeous white sand that sits densely on the shore allowing for visitors to drive their cars right along the water’s edge. Where else can you do that?
There is no shortage of hotels, condo rentals, and places to eat at Daytona Beach. If a bed and breakfast inn or camping is more your thing, those options are readily available too.
The waves are bigger and more fun to play in at Daytona Beach. With so many activities and kid friendly options, Daytona Beach is the place to be. think it’s time to get my family back there soon! I’ve been thinking about my ideal Daytona Beach vacation. A trip to the beach needs to be at least 3 days, so here’s what I have in mind for a mini vacation to Daytona Beach.Â
Day One: The beach awaits us. There would be lot’s of outdoor fun and beach time on the first day. Spend the day playing in the massive waves, collecting shells and building sand castles.
Day Two: Joyland Amusement Center is the perfect way to spend a day at Daytona Beach. It would be so neat to see the Atlantic Ocean from the top of a ferris wheel. Riding roller coasters and twirling rides beach side are a whole lot of fun! When you can’t handle another spin, take
Day Three: Festival time. Did you know that Daytona beach is the Festival Capital of Florida? I would love to plan our fall trip to coincide with one of the many fall festivals like the the Wings and Waves air show where over 40 different Air Force aircrafts give an astonishing aeriel performance over the Atlantic Ocean. How neat would that be?
