It’s been a busy Spring break for our family, so a family movie night is just what we needed to wind down a bit. Mom (Laura) and I headed to Walmart to pick up the movie “We Bought A Zoo” starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson. While we were there, we grabbed a few snacks for both the two-legged and four-legged members of our family.
We went in search of Del Monte pet products that had a coupon for $4 off the movie “We Bought A Zoo”. I was glad to find that the new Milo’s Kitchen Chicken Grillers and Chicken Jerky treats are included in the coupon deal. With the purchase of 2 – 20 ounce bags we could save $4.00 on “We Bought A Zoo”! Del Monte pet products are currently being featured in Parade and Women’s World magazines!
I am always amazed by the vast number of movies available in our Walmart. It can sometimes be difficult to find just what you’re looking for. Fortunately, there was a big display right in front of the Electronics department that had “We Bought A Zoo” and “The Three Stooges”.
For the 2-legged members of our family, we grabbed some Del Monte fruit cups to snack on during the movie. I didn’t have these coupons, but if you get First for Women magazine, Del Monte fruit cups are being featured with a $0.50-off coupon.
Our gang headed over to my brother’s house yesterday evening for family movie night. After dinner and some games, all headed out to give the animals some snacks. Talk about a zoo! At my brother’s place they have 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, 2 goats and a donkey. The two dogs we have at home are a lot of work. I don’t know how they keep up with all those animals.
Who knew horses and goats would love Del Monte fruit cups so much? I should have picked up a few more packs at Walmart just for them!
Sadie looked like she had just finished playing in the creek. She had to come see what all the commotion was and get a few Milo’s Kitchen dog treats for herself!
When we finally got around to sitting down to watch the movie, everyone was hungry again and ready for a snack. I like it when we can keep it healthier and enjoy something like our fruit cups, during the movie. Originally, I had planned to make some yogurt parfait with our fruit, but before I got around to it the kids were already grabbing and eating the fruit cups. They enjoyed their snack – so a win, win for everyone!
“We Bought A Zoo” was a fantastic movie! I had expected the kids to love it, but am surprised by how much I enjoyed this one myself. After the loss of his wife, Benjamin Mee’s son begins to get into trouble. So Benjamin (Matt Damon) gives up his job as a writer and adventurer to move his family to the most unlikely of places – a zoo! After many trials, adventures, and lots of hard work, Benjamin’s family and the hard working staff of the Rosemoor Wildlife Park manage to pass inspection and open the zoo for Summer. This is a very heartfelt film that is perfect for kids and adults of any age.
