There are three generations of Johnny Depp fanatics in my family. I’m talking serious Johnny Depp mania around here! Just to give you an example, here is an image of the pillow that my 63 year old mother sleeps on every night. It was meant to be a gag gift, but she loves it!

Needless to say, we went a little bonkers when Disney sent us this first look at Johnny Depp as Tonto in the soon to be released movie, The Lone Ranger. I grew up watching The Lone Ranger and am very eager to see Johnny Depp’s portrayal of the tough, but eccentric Tonto.

What are your thoughts on this first look of Johnny Depp as Tonto? My mind automatically goes to Captain Jack Sparrow when I see this photo, so I am hoping Johnny Depp has invented a unique and memorable portrayal of Tonto.
THE LONE RANGER will be released in May 2013.
It will be interesting to see how that goes – not the most PC character, but Johnny is pretty creative, so maybe he will be able to take it in a new direction.
