Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods Review

I really enjoy cooking and easily tire of using the same standard ingredients in my recipes. Needless to say, I am a real fan of specialty food companies. It was very exciting for me to try some products from the specialty food company, Fischer & Wieser. I really like the quality and variety of the products they offer.

Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods is a family business located in the Texas Hill Country. They are a two generation company with a wonderful philosophy, “if you’re honest and have a quality product, people will keep buying”. The company now featuring more than 100 items, is well known for it’s flagship product Original Roasted

I have had the pleasure of trying some Fischer & Wieser products over the last few weeks including: Original Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce and Mom’s Garlic & Basil Spaghetti Sauce.

This sauce has garnered awards and accolades across the glove for more than a decade. It’s the perfect blend of raspberries and chipotle peppers. This smokey, sweet and spicy sauce is perfect on meat, fish and fowl. We really like to grill at our house, so this was the first Fischer & Wieser product we used. It was simply wonderful on our country style ribs and chicken breasts. The combination of sweet and spicy was perfect! It can also be used mixed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for a salad dressing. I will definitely have to get another bottle to try this!

Like most American families, we eat spaghetti probably once a week. It is a favorite meal in our house. When it comes to spaghetti sauce, I’ll be honest and say that we tend to have whatever I could find on sale. On occasion I will make my own sauce. What I really like about Mom’s Spaghetti Sauce is that it tastes like home made. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients.  I can see why it has won so many awards. Also, this sauce is very reasonably priced for what I consider a gourmet product.
