Getting A Good Night’s Sleep With NightWave Sleep Assistant

Getting a good night’s sleep is something I dream about, if only I could fall asleep to have those dreams. Over the years I have tried a variety of things to naturally induce sleep such as: chamomile tea, meditation, and counting sheep. I have to say that counting sheep doesn’t work so well for me, as I have trouble with the visualization.

I was eager to try the NightWave Sleep Assistant and hopefully fall asleep easier. I have had some success in the past using relaxation techniques, so was hopeful this device would work for me. The NightWave Sleep Assistant is designed to help you fall asleep by projecting a soft, changing blue light on your ceiling. Your mind and body will get to a relaxed state as you synchronize your breathing with the flashing light. After about 7 minutes, the device will turn off. Hopefully, at that point you will be fast asleep.

My mom tried using the NightWave first and gave up after 2 nights. She actually found it to be annoying and said that it just stressed her out. I on the other hand had a totally different experience with it. I have used the NightWave at bedtime for the last couple of weeks, as well as the middle of the night on a few occasions when I awoke and could not get back to sleep. The soft flashing light was very soothing to me. It gave me something to focus on as I counted each flash of light and focused on breathing deeper.

I’ll admit that I was not fast asleep each time the NightWave turned off. On a few occasions, I had to turn it back on. If not asleep though, I am always left feeling more relaxed.

If like me you’ve had success with biofeedback or other relaxation techniques, the NightWave Sleep Assistant should help you get a good night’s sleep.

Buy It: The NightWave Sleep Assistant retails for $49.99 and is available at Best Buy.
