I love to travel. There are so many amazing places to visit here in the South East, so my family often goes on weekend getaways to nearby cities or the mountains. I enjoy taking in all of the sights, sounds, and flavors of new cities. But as much as I enjoy traveling, being on the road seems to always take it’s toll on me. As a creature of habit, it’s difficult for me to adjust to new environments which usually translates into some sleepless nights while traveling. By simply taking along my own pillow, my odds are much improved for a better night’s sleep on the road.
It never fails. The bed in the hotel is either too soft or too firm or too lumpy.
Add to that the gifts of menopause –Â insomnia and hot flashes that awaken you drenched – suddenly the prospect of a good night’s sleep seems an impossible dream.
Sometimes I wish I could just take my memory foam mattress and tie it to the top of the car. Since that’s obviously not an option, I do the next best thing and travel with my Nature’s Sleep pillow. I flew to Boston earlier this week for an event, and then met my sister-in-law in Atlanta on Friday night to attend a conference over the weekend. Knowing me so well, she didn’t at all think it an odd request when I asked her to swing by my house to pick up my Nature’s Sleep pillow.
So many hotels have feather pillows which are great for the first 30 seconds after you lay your head onto them… until the feathers settle and your head sinks in, leaving you with no support for your neck.
As I sit here in my Atlanta hotel room writing this blog post, I feel well rested and thankful to Nature’s Sleep for giving me a better night’s sleep on the road.

I feel you, I can’t sleep without my pillow.
I may have to get one of these it looks so soft and comfortable.
I love traveling but never can sleep — that pillow looks fab!
I detest feather pillows! This sounds like one I’d love to travel with too.
I’ve been wanting to try one of these pillows. I have a regular old too soft pillow right now.
That pillow looks so cozy !! Does it have a chemically smell though?
It is cozy! I haven’t noticed a chemical smell, but I do use a pillow case on mine to sleep.
I always have to bring some of my special things from home or I can not sleep.
Why have I never thought to bring my pillow? That’s one thing I always have a bit of a hard time adjusting too when I travel, getting used to new pillows.
My pillow is the one thing I always take with me when it comes to traveling, I definitely sleep better.
Glad you were able to get a good night’s sleep with your pillow … I need to remember to take mine when I travel!
