I am such a sentimental fool. You know the type. I’m the person who saved the movie tickets from that very special first date, and then the first lock of hair from her boy’s first haircut, and has a big box containing every holiday card that has ever been sent to her. It’s the little thing that mean a lot to me. Capturing and preserving family memories is so important. Sadly, when I was a very young Mom many years ago, we didn’t have a video camera. It wasn’t until years later that I was able to capture those most special of moments on video and those clips are so important to me. I have so many old photographs that are really starting to show their age, and need to get them on digital soon before it’s too late.

The earliest memories I can think of that we have on tape is my 3rd birthday. It’s getting older though, and I need to send it to Yes Video to get it preserved before it no longer plays.
I actually need to do that with my old VHS tapes too. I’m a little scared that they may not work anymore. 🙁

I’ve been digging through my parents old videos looking for some of our old videos! These are so sweet.
I have some super old videos at my parents house that require a VCR…which nobody owns. I think it would be great to get those converted as a gift for my mom.
my sister did a whole bunch of family videos to dvd for her father in law last year for christmas. they found out shortly after christmas he’d been diagnosed with bladder cancer and not expected to live long. he’s had surgery and treatment and miraculous progress, but what a wonderful gift she gave him last year!
I am so sorry to hear about her father-in-law, Brett. He must have really appreciated that very special gift.
He did. They all watched the videos on a trip to the beach together this summer. I’m so happy he’s still here!
