Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday

This weekend a “Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday” is making it’s debut on the Hallmark Channel and I can’t wait! Starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ashley Williams, Mark Deklin, Keith Robinson, Susan Yeagley and Kevin Nealon, this new movie tells the story of Jennifer and Meg Swift, sisters who couldn’t be closer despite living hours apart. Watch the preview below!

More about Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday:

Jennifer and Meg Swift are sisters who couldn’t be closer despite living hours apart. Jennifer is in Salt Lake City, running a successful restaurant she started with her late husband and raising her teenaged son Simon. Meg stayed in their hometown of Hazelwood, helping their parents run the local bakery. This Christmas is the family’s first since the passing of Uncle Dave who owned the town’s beloved theater, The Madison, where many memories were made over the years. When Jennifer and Simon return home for the holiday, they become wistful for one more Christmas at The Madison, despite that it’s for sale and in need of repairs. Meanwhile, Meg is helping Jennifer’s restaurant staff in Salt Lake prepare for a Christmas competition among local restaurants with the winner earning money for the charity of its choice. With the sisters switching cities leading up to the holiday, they find a new sense of purpose and discover what they both truly need in life and in love.

Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas

I love everything about this time of year, especially all of the Christmas lights and decorations and (of course) Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel! Hallmark Channel Original Movies take me to my happy place and this holiday season I have really enjoyed that my thirteen year old has been watching with me.

We go nuts for the Christmas towns all decked out and filled with Hallmark Christmas movie magic. Coming up soon, we have a trip planned to one of the towns in New York where one of this year’s Countdown to Christmas movies was filmed. Hopefully, our Florida family will get to enjoy a little snow while we’re there!

  • My favorite holiday tradition is that the Saturday before Christmas we shut it down and make it a family day from sun up to sundown. We turn on Christmas movies all day, bake together, play board games, and just spend a day together without chores or anything outside of together time. Electronics are off except for the movies and when we order dinner. It is a good way for us to reconnect with all the business of the season.

  • My favorite holiday traditions are sending Christmas cards, baking cookies with my children, visiting Santa, having family photos taken, advent calendars and my kids opening one present on Christmas Eve night.
