The United States of America is geographically vast, covering 3.086 million square miles across 50 states. Have you seen all this big country has to offer? I am very fortunate in that I have done my fair share of travel but still there is much of this country I haven’t seen. Yosemite National Park is at the top of my travel bucket list.
I was a young military spouse when I first left my home state. My husband’s military career took us from coast to coast and then back again. I think that’s what sparked my desire to travel. I’ve been hitting the road ever since.
Charleston, South Carolina (pictured above) and Seattle, Washington (below) are two of my favorite cities.
U.S. Cellular is helping to make its customer’s travel dreams a reality!
Did you know that millions of Americans have never left their home state? Not everyone has had the opportunity to explore this great, big country of ours. I realize how fortunate I have been. I’m so excited to share that U.S. Cellular is launching “Big Country”, a five-part series created in partnership with Food Network and Travel Channel, that will seek out every day Americans who for one reason or another have never gone far from home and take them on a trip of a lifetime!
The adventures will be hosted by Andrew Zimmern who will guide these real U.S. Cellular customers to see the places and people they’ve only dreamed of seeing. Guiding them to the Middle of Anywhere – great cities across the nation. The first episode of “Big Country” takes a hard working dad named Julius from his small town in California to New York City. He gets a bird’s eye view of the city on a helicopter tour, spends some emotional time in legendary Times Square, and gets to try some of NYC’s famous street food. I have been to New York City quite a few times and find myself in awe of the city during every visit.
Could you be next person to experience the trip of a lifetime? U.S. Cellular is holding an online open casting call for the 5th episode. You can nominate another deserving U.S. Cellular customer to star in the season finale of Big Country! When traveling, how do you use your smartphone to stay connected with loved ones?
