Help Under-Nourished Children Whole Foods Market & Vitamin Angels

Whole Foods Market has teamed up with Vitamin Angels to help under-nourished children.

About Vitamin Angels
Vitamin Angels was founded in 1994 when Howard Schiffer realized that his supplement knowledge and industry experience could be teamed with the logistics and relationships of relief agencies to make an impact in the developing world.
Vitamin Angels tries to reach the children who are most vulnerable, those under the age of 5 who live in rural areas in extreme poverty. There are two powerful programs, Thrive to Five and Operation 20/20.

Thrive to Five is a domestic and international program to get children’s multivitamins to children under 5, and prenatal vitamins to pregnant women as early in their pregnancy as possible.

Operation 20/20 focuses on getting vitamin A to children under 5 around the world. Two high doses of vitamin A per year, per child will increase survival rates by 23%!

There are a variety of ways you can help support Vitamin Angels.

  • Choose supplements from brands at Whole Foods Market that donate a portion of sales and/or nutrients to the programs.
  • You can also visit Vitamin Angels to learn more about the children, sign up for the monthly newsletter, check out personal fundraising pages, and more.

To raise awareness of Vitamin Angels, Whole Foods Market will donate $1 for each comment in response to the Viva Vitamin Angels podcast in September. I urge you to take a moment to visit and leave a comment. Every dollar counts!
