Holiday Meatball Appetizer Recipes

Turkey and Stuffing Meatballs

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1 clove of garlic minced
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 diced celery
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 cup of cornbread or turkey stuffing mix
1lb. ground turkey
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1/4 cup of apple juice
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl combine egg and milk.

Add onion, celery, garlic, mustard and stuffing mix. Mix well.

Add ground turkey and mix gently.

Shape mixture into 1 inch balls (48 – 50)

Cook on a nonstick or greased cookie sheet for 20 -25 minutes. Meatballs will be lightly browned.

While the meatballs are cooking combine cranberry sauce, apple juice, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce in crockpot.

When meatballs are done cooking remove from pan with slotted spoon and into crockpot. Make sure meatballs are completely coated with sauce. Cook on low for 4-5 hours

Cocktail Meatballs

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup bread crumbs
3 tablespoons minced onion

1 8 ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
3/4 cup chilli sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, mix together first 5 ingredients. Shape into small balls.

Bake in preheated oven 20 – 25 minutes, turning once.

In a slow cooker or large saucepan over low heat, combine last 4 ingredients. Add the meatballs and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.

No Fuss Crock Pot Beer Meatballs

Ingredients:
3 pounds frozen meatballs
2 medium onions cut into wedges
1 12 ounce bottle of beer
1 1/2 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low 8 to 12 hours.

Bisquick Sausage Meatballs

Ingredients:

3/4 cup Bisquick
1/3 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
1 pound mild Italian sausage, casing removed
1 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely shredded
1 teaspoon minced garlic
14 1/2 ounce Marinara sauce

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except for the Marinara. Shape into 1-inch balls and bake on ungreased jelly roll pan for 20-25 minutes. Meatballs will be golden brown when done.

Serve with warmed Marinara sauce for dipping.
