I am a chocoholic.  My children are chocoholics.  This recipe is a staple in our house.  We literally have made it 3 times this week!  We took a batch to a holiday party, a dinner party and one to keep at home.  What I love most about this simple, 3 ingredient, 5 minute fudge is…my children now can make it on their own!  {well…mostly}

If you’re ever in a pinch and need to bring a quick dessert to a gathering…this is a must.  Not only is it simple to make it’s not super sweet so people just keep wanting more and more!  Before you know it friends and family will be asking you for the recipe and you’ll smile and say, “It only took 5 minutes AND my kids made it!”

Without further adieu…How to Make Fudge with Children + Recipe!

Preparation:

Before I begin any kid project I always discuss my expectations and safety rules with my children.  With baking, we take extra precautions.  While this recipe is easy, the fudge mix can be hot after it has cooked in the microwave.  Please be sure to assist your children with removing the bowl from the microwave with hot pads.  I also helped my children with mixing and pouring and cutting the fudge.  My oldest child is 10 and needed little assistance with this project but I always say, “better be safe than sorry.”  I do hope that you and your children enjoy making this simple, delicious fudge recipe together!

  • I love chocolate. I had to make myself take a break from chocolate. It has been a month since I had some chocolate. Those brownies make me want to start eating chocolate.

    While this is an excellent fast simple recipe for children. It is not the best of the fudge recipes I have made so far this month. I am going through a large collection of different fudge recipes this month. This was the first recipe I used, and I made it up twice. Once without nuts, and the second time with nuts. My wife and daughters told me to ditch the recipe, and each only ate one piece. My grandsons finished the two batches off since the women wouldn’t eat any after the first taste.
