This post is sponsored by SONIC® Drive-In. However, all opinions and enthusiasm for the SONIC Limeades for Learning initiative are my own. I hope you’ll join SONIC in celebrating teachers during Teacher Appreciation month.
Be sure to read down to the bottom of this post, because there are a lot of awesome ways you can join in and help teachers – including matching donations and a DonorsChoose.org giveaway. Plus, a special offer for a free Route 44® Drink or Slush!
I’m so excited to partner with SONIC to share how we can all help in making a difference for teachers. Our public school teachers face many challenges. It is a job that requires a lot of patience, dedication and a passion for teaching. I worked for a short while as a substitute teacher, and quickly realized I lacked the patience and ability required to be effective. Teaching is truly a labor of love.
Unfortunately, our teachers sometimes have to work with limited resources. I know both of my children have had teachers who regularly dipped into their own bank accounts to pay for classroom supplies. Programs like SONIC’s Limeades for Learning really make a difference in helping public school teachers get the essential supplies they need to inspire their students.

SONIC Limeades for Learning
Recognizing public school teachers needed more support, SONIC® Drive-In partnered with DonorsChoose.org eleven years ago. In 2009 SONIC launched Limeades for Learning.
Limeades for Learning® is a national award-winning initiative to support U.S. public school teachers in local communities. Since the launch of SONIC’s Limeades for Learning philanthropic campaign in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, SONIC has donated $11,902,421, supported more than 27,407 classrooms, and provided learning materials and teaching resources to impact more than 822,210 students.

A teacher from the high school I attended is needing funding to purchase standing desks for her classroom. I use a standing desk at home and work, so that is something I can relate to.
