Need a simple way to spiff up your dining room table this fall? These sweet knitted napkin rings are a simple project, and perfect for your fall place settings. I think this would be a great hostess gift!
Materials Needed:
Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand Yarn
2 Green Buttons
Size US 4 Knitting Needles
Sewing Needle
Grey Thread
Abbreviations:
STS = Stitches
K = Knit
P = Purl
WYIF = With Yarn In Front
WYIB = With Yarn In Back
CO = Cast On
BO = Bind Off
Directions:
CO 11 sts
Row 1: K1, *slip 1 WYIF, K1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2: K1, P1, *slip 1 WYIB, P1; repeat from * to last stitch, K1
Repeat these rows until your piece measures 6 1/2″ long, and then BO.
Have the opposite ends of your piece meet each other, and then slightly overlap the ends.
With your sewing needle & grey thread, sew end pieces together securely.
After you have sewn your ends together, it’s time to sew on the buttons! You can use a variety of different colors, but I love how the green contrasts with the grey color.
Be sure to space your buttons first before securing them with your sewing needle and grey thread.
Clean up any loose threads with scissors, and you’re all set to wow your guests at your next dinner party or luncheon that you plan to host!
What a super cute idea! I need to learn how to knit.
My mother-in-law used to knit and crochet and sew and everything. These are very cute!
These are adorable and can easily be made in any color combo to match any holiday theme or decor. I have been wanting to learn to knit for a few years now and think I may begin this winter.
This is totally what I need, a small project so I can finish something!!!
awww how can you not fall in *luv* with these! so easy, too. must try!
I like these. They have that slightly rustic look that I associate with Fall, and you could do them in lots of Fall colors.
